How to adjust the throttle cable

Adjusting the virtual position of the throttle is actually adjusting the tension of the throttle cable. The end of the throttle cable is tied to the throttle. From the throttle to the throttle cable holder, it is found that the cable is not fully tensioned, and the steel cable has a certain degree of tension. The deflection of an ordinary car is about 5--8mm. If you want to reduce the throttle position, that is, reduce the deflection, the adjustment mechanism is on the fixed frame of the throttle cable. The specific adjustment method has been decomposed in detail in the above figure, and there are some points that need to be paid attention to here. Unless your driving style is very aggressive, don't adjust the deflection below 3mm, as this will consume more fuel consumption inadvertently. The throttle cable may look dirty, but don't try to wipe it clean. It is the grease for the throttle cable. You can try to adjust the range not too much each time, and then check the deflection of the steel wire after the adjustment. It is best to control it within a suitable range. If it is adjusted too tightly, the idling speed may increase. The throttle cable of some cars is not fixed on the bracket with a buckle, but fixed with a nut. When adjusting, first loosen the fixing nut with a small wrench, and then rotate the position of the adjusting nut to adjust the tightness of the throttle cable. In addition, if your car has an electronic accelerator, you cannot adjust it yourself, because the stroke of the accelerator pedal and the opening angle of the accelerator after adjustment do not correspond to the records stored in the engine computer, and the adjustment position is near the accelerator pedal. Go to the repair shop to match the throttle with a special instrument.
